err:user:bad_request:request_timeout
Your request didn’t finish within the API’s one-minute limit, so the API canceled it. You get HTTP 408 on any endpoint.
Example response

Likely causes

  • A brief slowdown. Most timeouts don’t repeat.
  • The request asks for too much at once, such as a large list without paging.
If your client gives up first, the request is recorded as client_closed_request instead. Analytics queries have their own, shorter limit, reported as query_execution_timeout, so a 408 on an analytics endpoint isn’t about the query itself.

How to fix

  1. Retry the request.
  2. If one endpoint keeps timing out, ask for less: page through large lists with cursor and limit.
  3. If it still happens, contact support with the requestId.
