err:user:bad_request:request_body_unreadable
The API couldn’t read your request body to the end, for a reason other than size. You get HTTP 400 on any endpoint.
Example response

Likely causes

  • Your client disconnected mid-upload.
  • The Content-Length header doesn’t match the bytes sent.
  • A proxy between you and api.unkey.com cut the body short.
  • On a Compute route with an OpenAPI validation policy, the body didn’t arrive within 30 seconds.

How to fix

  1. Retry the request.
  2. If it keeps failing, make sure your HTTP client sends the full body with a correct Content-Length and doesn’t close the connection early on a slow network.
  3. Check that any proxy or gateway in between forwards the body unchanged.
The official SDKs avoid most of these problems.
